The Mowery Family: Beautiful Jinghong

We were able to spend a wonderful two weeks in a city 10 hours south of us called Jinghong. It was actually one of the areas where we considered moving instead of Lincang. There was a training event that Monty had to translate for as well as our Wa friends from the training center here attended. It was a wonderful time connecting with old friends and making some new ones. The picture above is Henna and Manon with their new friend Holli. She was such a sweet girl and our girls could not get enough of her family. Monty and I really connected with her parents as well and had a great time getting to know them.

Our friend Sam was in town for a few days. It is like a light comes on in the girls minds when they are around Sam and they cannot stop smiling. I think he brings to mind all of the sweet memories of our life in Thailand.

Here is Judah with our good friend OY. I have pictures of OY with each of my little ones when they are just babies. It was so good to catch up with her since we have not seen one another for 2+ years.

Manon, Henna, Monty, Yex Nap and Yex Fang hopping across the stones. Yex Fang is really small (only a bit taller than Manon even though she is 18). Our girls are sure she is a child and are excited when she can go places with us because they think it is like taking another kid instead of just boring adults.
