What fun to have three to dress up for Halloween. You might wonder how we celebrate over here. Well, thankfully it was Spencer's birthday so that gave an excuse for a party! Since we live in a community with several families there are many houses to "trick or treat". Although, the nationals needed a little explanation about what was going on. They were each given a bag of candy with instructions that as the children came to give each one two pieces. It went quite smooth and the kids got the experience of "trick or treating." Henna finished all of her candy within 24 hours but Manon will probably save hers for weeks.
Here is the 5 year old! Happy Birthday Spencer! He is one month older than Manon.

The Camp Out!
Some parenting advice once given to me was to say "yes" to my children as much as possible because there are enough "no's" in life without mom and dad always saying "no" too. I have really tried to follow this when things seem inconvenient. Like the camp out - it was chilly, getting late and the thought of digging out our sleeping bags etc. seemed like a hassle but I am so thankful I said yes! We had a great time snuggling under the moon and stars and just enjoying one another. The children were all asleep by 8:45 so Monty and I carried them into their warm, snug beds. We then returned to the sleeping bags only to look at one another and decide our warm snug bed was waiting for us. So much for the actual camp out - the most fun was in the anticipation.
