What a happy time for our family when we visited our good friends in Thailand. We worked hard and studied hard for 6 months knowing this break would be well deserved.
Ai Kat and Desax (Momay's dad and mom) were some of our closest friends in Thailand. It was great to be back with them and rejoice with them as Momay will have a little brother or sister soon!
Our girls seemed to have forgotten most of their Thai but after a few days survival Thai came back. For example: "Can we go for a ride on the motorcycle," "Can we watch Cartoons," and "I'm hungry for sticky rice."
Here we are about to leave Lincang. The girls packed their suitcase with drawings and gifts for Momay and other friends. They have been saving things for months to take to friends "in our home country" as they refer to Thailand. I have been trying to teach them that the U.S. is actually their home country but they don't have much of a point of reference.
