Suzanna, Hannah Ruth, Manon and Henna getting one last chance to play before leaving. The next day we flew to Kunming.
Our time in KM was quite busy. We had to buy our furniture, appliances and any western groceries all in just a couple of days. It was strange walking into a large store and saying, "hi, we would like a refrigerator, washing machine, rice cooker, vacuum cleaner. . . and do you have any sofa's or mattresses?" Actually it was not quite that easy but we got everything we needed to make our home. After shopping non stop for 4 days Monty flew to Lincang leaving the children and I in Kunming. We decided that would be best for Monty could get things up and running in our home without so many little helpers. While Monty was working hard with the electricians, plumbers, contractors and figuring out where to buy tanks of gas etc. the kids and I were exploring Kunming.
Here is Henna in our friends apartment complex court yard. We were meeting our friends the Klears for a trip to the zoo and Henna was sure we were already there when she saw the seal statues.
Henna is reminding everyone to be quiet because the breast are praying - read the sign below.
