Ammas and Appas

The wonderful thing about the life we lead is that our children are blessed with many "aunts"and "uncles" who are also working overseas. Some of our family's closest are Jack and Cathy Ollis who previously lived in Thailand and are currently in India. Our girls call them Amma and Appa. Monty composed a little poem to express our appreciation for them. It goes like this:

Ammas and Appas
Good thing that on earth our home is not found,
'Cause with you guys your hobby is moving around,
Treasures to give away no place to store
But riches in heaven shall be yours galore,
Like snowballs in Thailand and Delhi's clear skies,
Ammas and Appas are hard to come by,
So we'll cherish the time that we have with you here,
And look forward to more when 'ere next you appear,
No "hi's" without "bye's" Cathy's saying is true
But we pray moments between are not far or too few,
I guess what these verses are trying to say,
Is that people like you are quite special these days,
So may God keep you safe until next time we meet,
In Bangkok or Delhi or the great Golden Street.
But wherever it is, may you both always know,
That both Amma and Appa have blessed us all so.
