A visit to the Queen Mother's Garden

We are only 30 minutes from the most beautiful garden. It was part of an agricultural development project by the King's mother many years ago. Manon and Henna love spending the day there and when we have guests it is one of the top tourist attractions. Here are some photos from our last trip there just a couple of weeks ago. You can see Manon cooling off after walking all day through the garden.
Manon and Henna are enjoying the view. Can you tell which one is running care free and which one is watching her step to make sure she does not fall?

This is Henna's buddy, Clara Ann. Henna took it upon herself to lead Clara Ann around and take care of the "baby" as she called her (even though Clara is only 3 months younger than Henna). We were delighted to have Clara and her family stay with us a few days in Mae Sai along with Clara's 8 day old baby sister. It gave me new hope of transitioning to life with a new baby. We all had a great time with their family and our family crowded in our small home so I now remember that a new baby cannot take up that much space. It was also refreshing to be with a western mom and remember that it is okay to lay a sleepy, fussy baby down for a nap and let them cry it out a bit. I really struggled in that area with Henna because of the looks from neighbors (or my own interpretation of the looks). It was delightful to watch 8 day old Chloe (as well as her refreshed mom) and be reminded of the blessing comming our way.

Here is Manon posing with the flowers.
